Coconut shell granular activated carbon is manufactured using steam activation technology and is a high-performance granular activated carbon made from high-quality coconut shell-based charcoal. It has the advantages of developed pores, good adsorption performance, high strength, low ash content, economy and durability. It is widely recognized for its excellent ability to remove organic pollutants, odors, heavy metal ions and impurities, especially in applications that require high adsorption efficiency and long life.
Coconut shell activated carbon has very high hardness and is more abrasion resistant than any other type. It is a totally natural, environmentally friendly product, that has a very small carbon foot print, since it is derived from coconut shells. As most of its pore structure consists of micropores (more than 90%), coconut shell carbon can efficiently absorb impurities with micropore molecular structure, such as those present in drinking water. In addition, because of its high abrasion resistance,exceptional chemical and physical characteristics, only coconut shell activated carbon can support applications such as recovery of gold and other precious metals.
